Red Dawn 2012

I just came home from watching the Red Dawn (remake) with an old friend of mine.

I’ve been waiting for this to premiere here in our country for awhile now.

Although I haven’t really seen the original, well, I have been anticipating this since I saw the posters cos, well, that IS Chris Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. (IDRK why but they should have put Josh Peck’s name beside Chris’s in the posters instead ugh—the posters here in my country shows Chris and Josh as the leads, idk about the others) XD

Plus I love the title. Sounds really nice lmao

Anyway.

I didn’t actually expect it to make me like it a bit higher than usual, I was even half-expecting it to disappoint… but amazingly, it didn’t.

My friend and I were questioning bits about the plot and stuff, but it was quite entertaining…

A little sprinkle of humour here and there, and then there’s the story about the brothers.

I’ve seen a truckload of really bad reviews of the movie, but it doesn’t change my personal opinion about it.

I actually love it.

BECAUSE, WOLVERIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINES, baby!

PS. I was totally caught off-guard with Jed (Chris)’s … (I don’t wanna spoil just in case.  XD)

PPS. I really couldn’t refrain from laughing at/finding Robert (Josh) amusing. XD I’ve first seen him as Peeta, and it kinda stuck, so.

PPS. I hate the ending (as I always with, with movies and literary stuff).

This is our ticket receipt~

The Expendables 2 and Thor

No there isn’t a collaboration haha excuse the misleading title, but anyway.

Last night my mother and I saw The Expendables 2 and hahahahaha oh god while it wasn’t really substantial in plot, it was goddamned good.

Because of the cast. Yeah, critiques and picky people would rate the movie low, and I would, too, if I didn’t care for the cast. The cast is amazing (OK, DUUUH). They are the people my mother grew up watching, the people I grew up watching. We were(/are) huge fans of action of all sorts, be it western or eastern. And nowadays I’m on a roll on catching up with my childhood-nearly-forgotten-fandoms.

So yeah…. we were back into watching Stallone…. Schwarzenegger… Willis… Statham… Lundgren, Norris (these two are more of my mom’s generation. But I did see some of their films back then, I think.)… and Li. Jet Li. Okay.

Jet Li wasn’t even in One fourth of the film which disappointed both of us but yeah…

We were making jokes about how Stallone is a grandpa, and how he and Arnold got hospitalized after their filming.

And daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahyuuuuuum. I was amazed that they all are still in shape. D: I wasn’t able to see the first movie so I had no idea on what to expect. Yes I know there are guns and action but I had no idea how they would be able to put all that glorious cast members in one movie, cos if you really think about it… just like in The Avengers… it would be hard to make an effective story about millions of main characters.

It turned out to be a bit of a comedy and boom, it just bought my heart.

I love these people… and I love movies and other stuff that gathers elites of their own fields. Or seniors. Whatever you’d want to call it.

I also thought that Liam Hemsworth is hell of a lucky man to be able to work with these people…

and then we found out halfway through the movie that he was killed. But by Van Damme, that should be his honour. XD Although he died, his character did play a huge role in the plot… because basically he was the reason for the plot. And that just made me think that he is really lucky to have these big stars get in action because of him.

God, I loved the jokes. It’s just, maaaaaaaaaan. I love it. and I want more.

The next day, which is today, this morning, I decided to finish watching Thor since I wasn’t able to finish it when I saw it first. And because of Hemsworth. XD

And although I already knew Loki would be alive and kickin’ in The Avengers, I cried over him at the end.

I’m just thankful for Hemsworth and Hiddleston’s voices. They are like unnnnnnnnnnnnnnfffff.

Just, unnnf.
